Hola!

Neil here. We just got off the ship in Miami from an amazing 4 days on the Lynyrd Skynyrd "Simple Man" Cruise!

We had a great time on the ship and enjoyed meeting so many cool people and bands. We got to play in the middle of the ocean while we were on our way from Key West to Mexico and then we got to play again while we were docked in Mexico. That was our first show playing outside of the USA.

We're flyin' home to Nashville tonite around 10.

AMERICAN BANG HOLIDAY BLOG 2007

Hello Hello!

Neil here. I hope everyone has been having a great december, spending time with your families and enjoying some down time.
We've been home about a week now and its been so good to be stationery for a few days.

We've had a very busy december and i just wanted to let everyone see a bit of what we've been up to....

We spent the first half of the month on tour with our good friends AUTOVAUGHN and LUNA HALO. We had a really fun tour of the midwest and really appreciate everyone that came out to check out the shows in the cold weather!
We weren't sure how touring in December would go, but we were pleasantly suprised.

We were home for a few days and had our photo shoot for our Full Length Album that is coming out in the Spring of 08'.
We took some pictures we wanted to share with ya....

We towed our original band van over to our practice space and did some pics in and around it...

So Jaren and I are headed to LA for a week on the 2nd to finish up some of the mixes for the record and then we are meeting Kelby and Ben in Miami to hop on the Skynyrd cruise ship!

HEY Guys and Gals!

Hope all is well with everyone.
We just pulled in to Chapel Hill,NC. from New York City.

We had a great time in NYC! It was a killer show and it was good to see a lot of old friends.

Hey Hey!

So, i've been slacking on the tour blog cause we've been driving, playing and hanging non stop for the past couple weeks....
I uploaded all my pics(like 500) last night and started going through them this morning.

Im going to start with the beginning of The Donnas tour and will continue along the way....

Tour is going great! We're making some great friends out here and getting to see a lot of cool cities and country that we haven't traveled before.

Hello Again!

Its been a busy few days for us....

There's been the name change.

We've confirmed the 1st leg of our FALL TOUR.

and

We've finished up the new EP.

As well as working on the tracks for the album everyday.

"So there are a lot of exciting things going on in the BANG camp right now that we'll be telling everyone about in the next week and we wanted to start today with something that we've been sorting through for a while now.
For the past few months we've known that legally there could become some problems for us if we kept our name as BANG BANG BANG. There are quite a few bands out there called BANG BANG BANG or BANG BANG, so we've been advised as a band to go ahead and change our name before we encounter any of those sorts of problems. As we sat around discussing what kind of name we wanted, we all realized that we really wanted to keep BANG in our name.
After a lot of late nights, we finally settled on the only name that we thought was true to the identity of the band, our fans and even more badass than what we had before......"

AMERICAN BANG!

We will release a new EP Titled, "MOVE TO THE MUSIC" through
Warner Bros. Records Oct. 23rd.

The Ep will be available at Best Buy stores and Wal Marts across the country as well as on ITUNES and at all our favorite Indie Record Stores throughout the USA.

The Full Length Record will come out in the beginning of 2008.
We are in La now working on the album and everything is sounding amazing!

We spent half the day at the studio where Jaren sang "Smoking Gun" and then we went and met up with our buddy Court last night who is in town playing with Marc Broussard.
We ended up down on Sunset on a friday night, which if you've never done that is a trip cause there are people and cars everywhere.
We went with their whole band to a bowling alley/bar.

Well Hello Again!

The last couple days have been absolutly crazy for us. There are a lot of exciting things going on outside of the making of the record that we have been working on pretty much non stop for the past 3 or 4 days....

We're still finishing up all the details on most of it, so unfortunatly we'll have to wait a couple more days before we get into it all, but trust me when i say that things have never been better for the BANG.

We finished the first 2 tracks for the record completly yesterday and they sound killer. we're really excited about how everything is turning out. THe band has never sounded better or bigger, but we aren't doing any guitar overdubs or any of that stuff.... Its just as raw and live as everything else we've always done.
We can't wait for you all to start hearing these new recordings!!!!

We finished up all the guitars yesterday at Sage and Sound and moved to another studio to do vocals today on all the tracks.

So Kelby and I have created an innovative method for being a BadAss Rhythm Section and its really very simple.....

Its called "ROCK AND LOCK"

We decided yesterday we'd show it to the world, so here it is in two quick pics...

Once we're rocked and locked nothing can stop us.....

We highly recommend it to everyone else out there who's tryin to kick ass with their band mates.

So we got going yesterday in the studio here in LA.

We Tracked our first 3 songs for the album!

We'll probably record 15 to 20 tunes, so who knows what'll end up on the record but we're excited about how everythings sounding.

BANG BANG BANG STUDIO BLOG #3

Well... Today we kinda had the day off to get all our shit together and prepare for starting to record tomorrow morning, so we went and took care of all the stuff we wanted to do that we knew we wouldn't have time for the rest of the month...

None of us could sleep, so we got up and went to Target to pick up some swim trunks and other essentials for recording the album like AC/DC's "Back in Black".

While we were paying we ran into these people hanging out in the target lounge.

after that, we went to Pasadena and did some wandering around at different shops...

and then we drove across town for some grocery shopping.

very exciting stuff.

We went to dinner with Kevin from warner brothers an his lady Kristen at the CAT AND FIDDLE in Hollywood.

After an awesome dinner we went over to a bar to close out the night.

Well we made it to LA ! It was long day, but all in all it was pretty good.

Here's some pictures to check out from day 1.

Kelby Got searched at the Nashville Airport this morning for setting off the metal detector twice with all the metal he wears, ya know he could definetly be a terrorist :)

After our 4 hour flight and waiting for the enterprise shuttle and picking up our rental car to take us to the condos we're staying in, we went and ate a ton of great mexican food!

After we ate and hung out at the Condo for a while we headed out to our new friend JOHN 5's house so the guys could pick up some guitars and amps for the studio. John 5 is one of kelby's favorite guitar players, he's played with everyone from Marilyn Manson to KD Lang. Supper cool guy and he owns at least 500 guitars! Check it out.....

It was alot like Christmas morning for everybody, so when we were done we went to the bar to toast to a successful first day and to the fact that we've finally made it to LA to record the album!

YO YO!

Neil here from BANG x 3. We're gearing up for a little tour we've got starting on wednesday in memphis tn.
We're heading out for 11 shows in 11 days all throughout the midwest. We'll be hitting memphis,little rock, dallas,tulsa oklahoma, kansas city, columbia missouri, indianapolis, bowling green ky, bloomington in, chicago for lollapalooza, and louisville.
We've been in rehearsals all weekend for the album and the day after we get home from this tour we are flying out to La. to start recording. We're stoked to finally be getting this shit rolling. We'll be out there all of august and then coming back to hit the road again for all of the fall!

It looks like we'll be cutting the record at sage and sound studios in hollywood right off of sunset blvd.

I just got off the phone with kelby a minute ago and he just picked up our new trailer for the ole van. We're movin up to a bigger size cause Jaren keeps buying new amps :)
